In many of our manuscripts, we assert the thesis of crypto-Hermeticism within esoteric Christian groups and certain examples in Traditional tasawwuf. These groups had to practice dissimulation under violent, compulsory religions. In fact, the association of Hermes with the Islamic Idris/Enoch was the result of such a tactic of Sabians forced to link their pagan traditions within a revealed book or prophet. But this is just a protective veneer. As we demonstrate exhaustively in Vol. 2 of the De Mysteriis Immortalitatis, the Islamic theology is based on much more ancient, pagan sources and only nominally linked as a method of authority in the region and Mecca, linked to the Old Testament cults and their anti and counter-Traditional heirs that persist like an unending plague on the earth.

But our focus is on the synthesis found within certain crypto-Shia and Hermetic gnostics (arifs) from Persian, Syrian and pre-Islamic paganism that persisted within certain brotherhoods and Sufi orders. These groups understood their wisdom as coming from the Greek Philosopher-Shamans, even calling their medicine Unani (from the Greeks). They were forced to conceal or contextualize their practices of ‘pagan’ theurgy and astro-theology in various strategies of concealment. Islam allows the reverse scenario, of hiding one’s beliefs for security (“dissimulation” is kitmān, related to the term taqiyya.)

This is all to preface our choice of the term Wird for this daily book of Hermetic hymns and prayers, or rather, invocations to be more precise. These are poetic renderings of longing and Remembrance, theurgic devotions of pathworking through the Spheres of the Gods. We could have used a term such as breviary, but the Arabic wird captures the sense of an esoteric manual, one that is like an elixir to the soul and a medicine to the heart. This ancient term of “wird” (litany) comes from the word “a watering place” (warad), to which humans and other creatures had to find in the vast desert. It is the oasis in the wasteland, and the perfect term for the daily practices of Hermeticism that invokes terms of water, liquid and drinking, baptism in understanding Gnosis. It is a fluid form of numinous wisdom, of Nous (divine and immortal mind/intellect/memory/vision). Those that do not have a daily spiritual practice are subhuman to the True Human Being that labors continually in the Great Work. Thus, this is an empowerment and self-initiation, a priming to the true ascension. It is a polishing, The Removal of Obnoxious Traits, the catharsis and concentration of power needed to engage in the higher visionary Rites.There is only the validation of the Pure Vision of the Ennead and Ogdoad.

Our method is of the direct visionary beholding of the Light, those that do not witness this are not of the Way.

As we honor Traditionalists, our members pursue initiations into certain Sedevacantist Catholic secret orders, into certain monasteries of Orthodox esoteric Christian sects, into Buddhist/Daoist, Vedic in immersive studies for decades. This is to piece together the puzzle of the Mysteries that were scattered into the ancient world and retained in specific lineages. We trace alchemical teachings, each one hidden within so much rubble and false methods. Our members bring back these understandings, the essence and essentials as we reconstruct a viable Way in this dying world age.

Having trained in the wird of select Traditional tariqa, we have crafted a daily practice and select readings, theurgical invocations for the Theoi each day, to provide a basic template for the structure of a Theurgical and Philosophical investigation into the Classical Mysteries. This is a form of re-appropriation as these practices are from Greek theurgic rites and Neoplatonic influences, esoteric orders that discreetly persisted through the religious and occult wars. The open invocation should be considered the bare minimum invocation, as some days are simply to overcome tasks and arising issues, especially in the modern world and certain phases of life. One can expand into the various other readings through the day, though they are best timed with certain celestial considerations, explained in brief in the Notes section. These are foundation practices for the visionary rites, healing retreats, laboratory and medicine making/harvesting. These are to calibrate to the alchemy of the seasons and to create the flow and cohesion of a theurgic practice across the days of the week corresponding with the incenses and hymns to the Planetary Immortals. There are no secrets, but simply organized sacred Hermetic and Orphic prayers to create a ritual praxis for Remembrance of the Way. The beginning invocations are silently whispered within to the True Monad and ineffable Theos whose only beloved method of prayer is unadorned, quiet gratitude from the heart.

There are contemplative Hermetic readings that are the Key of the Way. There are methods of empowering the specific power items of our Theurgic way, the obelisk of quartz and the solidified mercury (al-zā’būq) pyramid. The true power and empowerment of these items is only truly understood in the Philosophical dosage of the authentic wine of light. This is the liquid Nous, the Phaos or light” (nur). These are, together, a refinement of the exoteric and esoteric aspects of self, the lesser and greater distillations and theurgic link to the Mysteries. The manual to meditate upon during the fasting, as the visionary elixirs surge through the body, as one prepares for the rituals, the ordeals, the healing retreats, the Black Rites and magical operations.

All proceeds (in the spirit of the terms sadaqah and hadiya) are invested into manifesting a true Hermetic Temple and Sanctuary, a House of Life to be a repository of certain esoterica. We then document our own lifelong quest and wandering on the Way, that others may use it as foundation to pierce the barrier of the Mysteries.
